The Le Mans 24 Hour race in France ended but the horrific accident that broke the back of Anthony is a surprising story that shocked the eye-witnesses as well the viewers of the live coverage. He was struck by Piergiuseppe Perazzini (from the team of Ferrari) as he tried to overlap the other car. Sad to say, it was his first stint at the opening stage but the rush brought out a wrong direction that also cause his vehicle to somersault.
Luckily, Anthony survived the accident that will probably leave a big mark on his racing career as well for the people who worked with him. At the age of 33, he is one of the famous car enthusiasts working in Sky Sports and as a member of F1 analysts. According to report, medical personnel found no serious injuries from him after applying their first aid.
Furthermore, he's been rushed to the nearest hospital for further medication and thorough observation because of his back pain. His x-ray result shows a two broken bones at his back were he need to stay in the medical center for to additional rest. And he need to take a few months of rest just to avoid a possible complication.
Anthony's Toyota Hybrid team are now probably looking forward for his recovery and to get ready for another international race in the future. He tweeted his photo recently showing his situation at the French hospital showing a worry-less driver after the deadly accident.

We do not know the winner of Le Mans 24 Hour 2012 but the good news is, nobody sacrificed his life in the race just like of what happened in last year race. Ended with a peaceful celebrations for the successful team.
